Motivated to support their family and live the American dream, Portuguese immigrants Eliseu & Emanuelina Amaral began baking sweet bread out of their garage. Their high-quality products grew in popularity throughout the city, and they later established Amaral's Bakery in 1963 which continues to provide Portuguese sweetbread and specialty products to the greater Northeast and beyond.
